While it was originally announced that The Legacy Collection would be arriving sometime this June, it looks like a minor delay will see the game pushed back just a couple of weeks, now slated to launch on July 9, according to a statement from Konami Social Media Manager Dalton Link on the PlayStation Blog.
“From the frozen Alaskan tundra to the jungles of Russia, the Metal Gear series has covered nearly every corner of the globe, with a story spanning over 50 years of history and four generations of consoles,” said Link. “Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection contains every canon Metal Gear release to grace PlayStation platforms from 1998's Metal Gear Solid to 2008's Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to 2011's Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.”
That includes the four core MGS games, as well as the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, the VR Missions, Peace Walker and even a couple of digital graphic novels for good measure.
All of that can be yours starting July 9 for $49.99. Now all I have to do is decide if I really feel like buying all of the Metal Gear Solid games for like the third time.
